Hawera High School has two Guidance Counsellors, Mr John Roberts-Thomson and Mrs Ainsley Luscombe. They can help students in lots of different ways (see the summary of what a guidance counsellor does on the previous page). Their offices are located in the Dixon Block. Mr Roberts-Thomson is opposite Room 24 and Mrs Luscombe is opposite Room 18. The best way to get to see them is by leaving a message at the school office saying that you want them to give you an appointment time. You can either do this yourself or get your parents/caregiver to do it for you. They will then get back to you to let you know when they can see you.

N.P.B.H.S. has two Guidance Counsellors, Mr Bill Geange and Mrs Rosemary Carter. The Guidance Counsellor at Okato College is Mr Gordon Walsh. Ms Clark also helps out and often sees the female students at Okato College. If it's urgent and she has somebody with her you can either slip a note under the door or get the office to call her for you.

The Guidance Counsellor at Sacred Heart is Mrs Vivienne Zsigovits (also known as Mrs Z). The teacher who works with the guidance issues at St Mary's is Ms Sue Roodbeen. Ms Roodbeen helps students in lots of different ways (see the summary of what a guidance counsellor does on the previous page). If you want to see Ms Roodbeen just go to her office, which is in the hostel building. If she's not there or she is busy with someone else then you can ether come back later or leave a message at the school office; she will get in touch with you when she is free. Ms Roodbeen is available between the hours of 7:30am-3pm.
The Guidance Counsellor at Stratford High is Ms Toni Butler. Ms Butler helps students in lots of different ways (see the summary of what a Guidance Counsellor does on the previous page). Ms Butler's office is located in the student services area. If you want to make an appointment just go to her office. If the door is closed then she is probably busy with another student so you should come back at interval or lunchtime. If it's really urgent she is cool with you sliding a note under the door. You can make contact with her yourself or if you prefer, you can get a friend, teacher or family member to make one for you.
